Challenge

Over a course a year (Oct 16 –Oct 17) Paul Taylor made a series of visits to Dunmow to gather personal stories and opinions on the how the town has changed from the people he met on his visits. His interviewees included members of a local support group run by  West Essex Mind, volunteers at the Library & Museum for with local charities &  shop keepers, individuals who would not normally expect to be the focus of a contemporary arts programme. The exhibition in Nov 2017 took place in an empty High Street office proved very popular with Dunmow residents of all ages. The first print of books sold out.  The title “The Dunmow Changes” refers to a diagram of bell notation for the Bob Minor Peal found at St. Mary’s Church. Illustrations of the bell ringers were created and to mark the opening of the exhibition and the lighting of the new Community Oven the bells were especially rung. .ry successful product is the fruit of hard work and this applies to every field of business.
